Who we are
This policy explains how Ismail Dogan trading as City Service Mechanics (ABN 70 592 427 735) handles personal information. We operate a licensed vehicle testing and mechanical workshop at 146 Chetwynd Street, North Melbourne VIC 3051. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
This page has no enquiry form. The information we hold comes from two places.
- When you call us. Your phone number, and anything you tell us during the call — your name, your vehicle, and what you need done.
- When you visit this page. Technical information collected by cookies and similar technologies: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site or advertisement that referred you. This includes advertising click identifiers such as Google’s
gclid,gbraidandwbraid, which let us tell which advertisement led to an enquiry.
We do not ask for or collect payment details, identity documents or sensitive information through this page.
Phone calls and call tracking
The phone number shown on this page may be a tracking number that forwards to our workshop. It lets us measure which advertisements produce calls. We record the time, duration and source of each call, along with the number you called from.
Calls may also be recorded for training and quality purposes. Where a call is recorded you will hear an announcement at the start of the call, and you may ask us not to record it or end the call at that point.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, quote, and book your inspection or repair.
- To contact you about the work on your vehicle.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. Storage, security and retention
We hold personal information in secure systems and limit access to staff who need it. We keep enquiry and service records for as long as we need them to service your vehicle and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or complain about how we have handled it. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
